美國國務院於7月21日發布了2021年度投資環境報告 (Investment Climate Report)，這份年度報告提供在地市場分析。投資環境報告台灣部分指出，台灣和外國投資者都將台灣視為重要的布局選項，以避開區域貿易摩擦所造成潛在供應鏈中斷的影響。

“Taiwan is an important market in regional and global trade and investment. It is one of the world’s top 25 economies in terms of gross domestic product (GDP) and was the United States’ 9th largest trading partner in 2020. An export-dependent economy of 23 million people with a highly skilled workforce, Taiwan is also a critical link in global supply chains, a central hub for shipments and transshipments in East Asia, and a major center for advanced research and development (R&D).”
The State Department released the 2021 Investment Climate Statements on July 21. This annual Statement provides detailed information and assessments. The Taiwan section indicates that Taiwan and foreign investors regard Taiwan as a strategic relocation alternative to insulate themselves against potential supply chain disruptions resulting from regional trade frictions.
